Based on collected data from the past, relevant general indicators as well as methods of text mining (Natural Language Processing - NLP), predictive models are created that can identify trends at an early stage and make specific statements about future developments possible.

Since the founding of our company in 1980, we have also been involved with Open Source, then based on the Free Software Foundation (FSF), and since the late 1990s, Eric S. Raymond's The Cathedral and the Bazaar and the GNU General Publlic License (GPL) - wherever it makes sense and the entrepreneurial framework conditions allow effective use.

Open Source Software has already established itself very well in the areas of server systems, web & mail servers, databases and middleware and has now conquered the areas of embedded systems, router systems and mobile phones.

Meanwhile, key products such as Git, MySQL / MariaDB, Node.js, Docker / Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, just to name a few, have been accepted and widely used Open Source Software.

According to a Swiss study from 2015 (Open Source Study Switzerland 2015 published: More Independence and Security Thanks to Open Source, pages 36-37), 86% of respondents see compliance with open standards, 82% share knowledge with the community, 77% cut costs, ud 76% reduction of supplier dependencies as main motive for using Open Source.

In addition, we are heavily involved in the areas of Enterprise IT security & safety, analyze appropriate threat scenarios, develop policies together with companies and organizations, coordinate the deployment of the same, monitor the effectiveness of the measures and ultimately accompany acutely necessary measures after a Breach has occured.

Systems & Requirements Engineering

System Engineering is an interdisciplinary approach to developing and implementing complex technical systems in large scale projects, and is mostly dedicated to the development of an entire product (hardware, software, services) and additional support systems, such as test systems and scenarios.

System engineers coordinate a variety of disciplines to optimize the overall system, relying on modeling and simulation of the system using SysML (based on UML), which is now common in all industries and sciences to detect defects and risks even before production

As a member of the Society for Systems Engineering e.V. (GfSE) and thus of the INCOSE, there is a lively technical exchange with mainly the European colleagues in order to integrate the latest developments in this field into our expertise.
